Van Niekerk Vintners
VNV was born in the heart of the beautiful Overberg in 2019, a perfect setting to pay tribute to the Van Niekerk family history. It was here that winemaker Albert van Niekerk grew up on the family farm, owned by the Van Niekerks for 6 generations.
The van Niekerk Vintners range consists of two wines, Rebellie (Grenache Noir) and Sonwater (Chenin Blanc/Clairette Blanche blend). Grapes are hand selected from various vineyard blocks across the Western Cape where the focus is more on heritage with an emphasis on quality instead of quantity. The vinification process is unadorned with as little as possible intervention allowing the wine to determine its own course.
